Kiluan Bay, A Piece of Paradise on Earth

Kiluan Bay in Lampung is a piece of heaven fell to earth. Spectacular life under the sea, cute dolphin packs, and beautiful sunset, would be able to paint your holiday picture perfect. Kiluan Bay is on the rise among domestic tourists. It is funny because Indonesians are only recently aware of Kiluan’s amazing potentials, while foreign tourists has long been visiting Kiluan for its breathtaking views.

At Kiluan Bay, two species of dolphin can be found — the bottle-nose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and the long-nosed dolphin (Stenella longirostris). Boats can be rented to get a closer look at the dolphins as they play and jump in the bay’s waters.

Local ecotourism groups are also conserving green turtles (Chelonia mydas) and hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata). Five years after conservation efforts began, locals can now enjoy the benefits. Tourists can enjoy the watching the turtles swim by the beach, lay their eggs and cover their nests with sand.
